Pencils of Promise, a Non-governmental organisation with focus on Education and Sanitation Initiatives as part of its commitment to improve the standards of education in the country has organised a capacity Building workshop in Leadership for 125 basic school headteachers.
The participants for workshop which was held at Ho in the Volta Regional Capital on Friday 30th July, 2021 were drawn from three operational regions; the Eastern, Volta and Oti Region.
The facilitators took the participants through the comprehensive Roles and responsibilities of headteachers in a basic schools which is key in the day to day running of the school for effective result.
Other topics like how to work effectively with Education data interpretation and usage for positive results.
Child protection,Team building and Time management among others were also part of the important issues of discussion since all the above together will improve both the teaching and learning standards in the Basic Schools for improve results as the future of the Children depends on their Basic education.
Mr. Freeman Gobah, Country Director of Pencils of Promise addressing the participants entreat them to take this among other similar training his outfit has been facilitating very serious since it is to their own advantage and the best of their pupils.
He continued to say that as the team leader at Pencils of Promise, He can assure them of their continuous support both in teams of infrastructure, logistics and capacity Building since just in barely over 5 years of their operations in Ghana, they were able to complete 182 Classroom block with ancillary facilities projects as 14 of similar projects are currently ongoing in their operations regions as well as donated thousands of E-Learning materials and other Sanitary materials under their several Education and sanitation initiatives.
Mr. Freeman Gobah advised the participants to take everything given them by Pencils Of Promise as a serious investment made by their agancy and their cherish donors into the education and responsible upbringing of the future leaders of this country.
