On Thursday, February 29th, 2024, the management and stakeholders of Akro Senior High Technical School officially launched the 90th anniversary celebrations of the school, which started in 1934 by Mr. Rudolph Philip Djabanor, and then the Akro Schools, which gave birth to the modern-day Akro Senior High Technical School.
The founder of the Akro Schools, Mr. Rudolph Philip Djabanor, who is of blessed memory, was highly commended by all the dignitaries present at the ceremony.
Rev. Stephen Amanor Tetteh, Chairman of the Planning Committee, disclosed that the Anniversary Climax, which is scheduled for September 2024, will have a series of activities before September, and he stated that the committee will make those details public soon.
Brigadier General Joseph Punamane, an old student of the Akro Schools who was the special guest, commended the work of both the current and previous management of the school for their impressive efforts that have sustained the school this far.
The programme, which was graced by a lot of high-profile dignitaries, saw Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, officially declare the 90th anniversary of Akro Senior High Technical School’s duely launched .
