The Methodist Church of Ghana, Wesley Society – Somanya has donated food stuff to support widows, widowers and less privileged in the Church.
Each beneficiary received a bag of 5kg rice, cooking oil, packed tomatoes, bread among others.

The Somanya Diocesan Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana Rt. Rev. Alfred N. O. Aryeetey distributing the items to the beneficiaries adviced the gathering to take the laid down public health protocols and other directives by the Government and the health professionals very serious to survive these pandemic hard times.

He added that wearing of face masks must be made compulsory in his crisis times since it is best way to protect ourselves and others as well.

The Bishop continues by directing the leadership of this Charity initiative to make other alternative arrangements to deliver the packages to some of the identified beneficiaries who could not make it to receive their package due to health issues at their private residences.
In his closing remarks expressed appreciation of the Church Leadership to members who donated to support the vulnerable in this hard times as he encouraged others to support the less privileged in their society to show the Christian nature in them.
