Sapphire Heritage foundation is a Non-governmental organisation built to tackle some of the most pressing issues in our society.

Some of their key focus includes impowering local communities through skills development, education, sensitization, knowledge sharing and engagement.

Speaking to Ms. Vanessa Rickkets, CEO of the Sapphire Heritage Consult after the presentation, she said that the girl child living in deprived communities like Akuse and its environs becomes vulnerable when they can’t afford Sanitary pads during their Menstrual periods leading to into some social vices which is not healthy to them.

She continue to say due to that their outfit over the years has supplied several Sanitary pads to the following schools in Akuse and its environs ;
Akuse Methodist Junior High School, Presby Junior High School, Roman Catholic Junior High, Islamic Junior High, Amedeka Junior High School among others as they planned to expend this project to reach even young girls in the community who are not attending school but are equally exposed to such issues.

Vanessa Rickkets used the opportunity to acknowledge their main partner on this all important project the Cross Calvary Chapel International for the outstanding support they have given their outfit which has made all their projects and initiatives successful.

She concluded by saying that their NGO has been involved actively in breast cancer awareness programs in partnership with Akuse hospital, sanitation, menstrual health advocacy, vocational skills training, among others which she thinks that’s the best possible way to tackle some of the community issues in their operational area.

Also in unique partnership with Akuse Government Hospital, our outfit has set up girls clubs in several schools in Akuse as a means to reach out to girls at school level and guide them through adolescence changes. The program has had tremendous success and they’re now looking to expand the number of schools and the geographic reach. Moreover they are looking to set up something similar for the boys to help them navigate their own growth through adolescence.

One of their calls has been to encourage those they work with to come up with concepts they think would have the greatest impact on society so they can work on resolving some of the challenges facing our society.

Finally she emphasized that they are always open to partnerships and sponsorship that will help further their agenda to make a positive impact and empower people.
