The MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, Simon Kweku Tetteh has on Wednesday 26th January, 2022 received the keys to a newly completed 10 Rooms Dormitory Block with Ancillary Facilities at Krobo Girl’s Presbyterian SHS, Odumase Krobo.
John Dordoe, Representative of the Project Contractor, Platinum Concept Limited after a successful tour of the newly completed project by stakeholders handed over the keys to the building to Mr. Seth Attram, a Rep. of Teracon Limited, the Project Consultant.
The consultant Representative also handed over the keys to Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the area as he also hand it over to the School for use through the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Odoi Kwaku Williams.
The Hon. MCE addressing the gathering used the opportunity to expressed his heartiest appreciation to the NPP Government under the able leadership of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for giving 4 massive infrastructure projects to the Krobo Girls SHS in the past 5 years of his leadership through the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service.
Hon. Simon Kweku indicated that the 10-Unit Dormitory Block is the second to be handed over as the 2-Storey 12-Unit Classroom block and the Modern Home Economics Block projects are currently at advance stages expecting them to be completed and hand over soon.
The Hon. MCE tasks the Management of the School to practice high level maintenance culture to be able to protect the projects against short term deterioration.
Mrs. Betty Aduhene Chinbuah, Headmistress of the School in his appreciation speech on behalf of the School board and Management expressed their heartiest appreciation to Government for providing this massive infrastructure project to the School which will help ease the pressure on the existing facilities.
She further pleaded with government to direct the contractor to come back to site and complete the second floor which is the second phase of the project to accommodate more Students and also prevent deterioration by rainfall on the down floor.
