The St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya in the Lower Manya Krobo on Tuesday 20th April, 2021 hosted the launch of the 3HP, an improved drug combination for TB prevention.
Dr. Stephen Kusi, Medical Director of the hospital acknowledged the efforts of the Management and staff of the hospital in managing TB/HIV as the key factor for leadership in the Management of HIV/TB in the Country for choosing their facility as the Launch venue for the New Preventive Treatment known as 3HP.
The barely an hour launch program was grace by high dignitaries from the health sector in the country notable among are Dr. Awisi Addo Stephen – (Chair – PM-NACP), Dr. Kwame Essah (CD – Aurum Institute and Mr. Jerry Amoah-Larbi (TBVN on TPT Advocacy Campaign) among others.
The Traditional Leadership in the area were not left out the colourful event.
Unitaid is funding the Aurum Institute’s IMPAACT4TB project, to protect people most vulnerable to developing active TB.
