Over 300 children in basic schools across the Djebiam Division have benefited from the maiden edition of the Back to School Initiative instituted by Nene Agbau Narh IV, Djebiam Divisional Chief in the Manya Krobo Traditional Area.

The short but colourful ceremony was held on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at the Palace of Nene Agbau Narh IV. The event was graced by prominent sons of Djebiam, including Hon. John Atteh Matey, Municipal Chief Executive for Lower Manya Krobo, and Hon. Emmanuel Siakwah Nuertey, NPP Constituency Chairman for Lower Manya Krobo. The program saw the distribution of essential teaching and learning materials to pupils drawn from schools within the division.

Addressing pupils, parents, caregivers, and stakeholders, Nene Agbau Narh IV emphasized that the support offered through this initiative represents a direct investment in the future of the children and the Djebiam Division at large. He encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity, reminding them that the community expects them to excel and, in turn, contribute back to the next generation.

The Divisional Chief further charged parents, caregivers, and stakeholders to play active roles in nurturing the younger generation, stressing that their future and the preservation of the rich legacy of Djebiam depend on the collective effort of the community.

Nene Agbau Narh IV expressed heartfelt appreciation to all sons and daughters of the division, as well as well-wishers who supported the initiative, invoking heavenly blessings upon their endeavors. He also commended the dedicated team that made the program a success, describing their service as a great contribution to the Djebiam Division.

In his remarks, Hon. John Atteh Matey, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo and a proud son of Djebiam, lauded the initiative and pledged his continuous support to sustain and expand the program in the years ahead.
