The Middle belt of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality will not be left out on the transformation agenda said the MCE, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh.

He made this statement during a monitoring tour of the Municipality to monitor ongoing and some completed government projects in the middle belt of the Municipality.

He expressed delight and great relief about the newly completed 6-Unit Classroom block with ancillary facilities brought to the good people of Ayermusu Kpeti and himself as he knew the risks generations had gone through studying under dilapidated building which was equivalent to a death trap but today they have a modern place of convenience for studies.

He also stated that under the current NPP administration, almost all the middle belt communities are going to benefit from a government initiative which is aimed at giving them Solar energy as an alternative Power Supply since the Rural electrification project is progressing at a very good phase.


Communities like Oborpah East, Oborpah Djikiti, Wawase, Apla Abobeng, Obelemanye, Ayermusu Kpeti, Yonguase, Abobeng among other will soon be connected to the national grid of electricity as the cabling and installation of transformers has been done in most of the areas awaiting final approval to connect them onto the National grid of electricity.


Ahead of that all key institutions like CHPS Compounds, Churches, Schools, Mosques and residents of key opinion leaders has received complete solar system to enable them access electricity for now.

The Solar system installed will serve as charge stations for modern equipments as well as other gadgets as they await the connection onto the national grid.


The Hon. MCE and his monitoring entourage visited area like Oborpah Djikiti M/A Basic School, Oborpah Gyakiti CHPS Compound, Wawase CHPS Compound, Oborpah East M/A Basic School among others where all the solar systems are installed and working perfectly.


The link road from Oborpah West to Sarpor in the Middle belt of the Municipality is currently receiving massive face-lift as a serious reshaping exercise is currently on going which has made the road easy to travel on.

The Hon. MCE made it clear that under his watch as the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, all the areas on that Oborpah West to Oborpah Djikiti which always gets cut off during raining seasons has received proper drain bridges to permanently address those situations as they keep working hard to improve the lives of the rural settlers.


He continue to say that over the past few years of the ruling NPP administration, 2 CHPS Compounds has been built at Wawase and Oborpah Djikiti to help improve upon quality health delivery as well as several Schools infrastructures has been constructed in the area some in partnership with some NGOs.

In regards to supplying of potable water to the area, under the 1 Constituency, 1 Million dollars initiative of the ruling government, most of the people living in the rural areas of the Municipality has been given a modern solor power mechanism borehole with over Poly tanks to readily supply them with water throughout the year.

The Hon. MCE in an exclusive interview with www.krobolandonline.com stated clearly that for him being a true native of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality and a 4 terms Hon. Assembly member, he knows most of the problems in the area and he will continue working with stakeholders to address the problems.
