Nene Kwesi Detse I, Development Chief of the Manya Krobo Traditional area who doubled as the country director of Aya Afrika, a Non-governmental organisation on Wednesday 17th March donated foodstuffs to support households at Tsledom and its environs in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

45 households received bags of rice, cooking oil and canned fish among others as his way of supporting them in times of this global economic hardship.

Nene Kwesi Detse I and Aya Afrika has been supporting the Tsledom community since 2019 with several community support program where some students have received teaching and learning materials as well as school bags.

In other community programs, Nene Kwesi Detse in the past gave several families in the Tsledom community and its surrounding communities GHC 75.00 a month to support their livelihoods which the community applause him for his generosity.

A High Deplorable portion of the Oborpah Djikiti to Tsledom road which has been a headache of the good people of Tsledom has become motorable due to the 60 bags of cements support from Nene Kwesi Detse I and Aya Afrika which was used to concrete the bad portion of that stretch.

Nene Detse in his address assured the good people of Tsledom and its surrounding communities gathered during the short presentation of his maximum commitment to do more for them but that can only be achieved when they continue to live in peaceful coexistence.

He further hinted that all is set for the set up of the first ICT Laboratory which will be well equipped with e-library for the children in that rural part of the Municipal to have access to modern ways of learning.

In line with that project his outfit, Aya Africa is closing in on a partnership deal with another NGO, Empower Playgrounds who are into using ‘Merry Goes round’ and Solar panels to generate electricity for rural communities to easily power the computer laboratory.

The country direct of Empower Playgrounds, Mr. Isaac Darko-Mensah speaking at the gathering said working in the Lower Manya Municipality is nothing new to them since they have some of their equipment already installed and working perfectly at Yonguase and Obelemanye.

He assured the community gathered that with their support and cooperation, the Tsledom project will also be a success within the shortest possible time.

Mr. Godfred Ceaser, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal SHEP Coordinator at the Education Directorate who accompanied the visiting team applause Nene Kwesi Detse of Aya Africa and all their partners for the outstanding support given the Tsledom community since their pathetic story hits the Internet in 2019.

Mr. Ceaser continued to advised both the teachers and parents gathered to practice high levels of maintenance culture since that’s the best way to attract my donor supports to their community.
