The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Directorate has organized a two-day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshop for teachers across all levels of the pre-tertiary sector, KG, Primary, JHS, and SHS. The training was held at the premises of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kpong.

In his opening remarks, the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Samuel Kwesi Tettey, warmly welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of assessment in education, describing it as the key tool for measuring the effectiveness of teaching and learning in schools.

Mr. Tettey explained that the programme forms part of the activities designed to bring to life the “Successful Schools Agenda”, which was officially launched just a few days ago.

“As educators, we know that the success of every school hinges on the professional growth, commitment, and innovation of its teachers,” he stated. “This workshop, facilitated by The Great Kurious Minds, a NaCCA-accredited service provider, provides a timely opportunity to deepen knowledge and sharpen the skills of our teachers to align with the changing demands of the standards-based curriculum and 21st-century education.”

He encouraged participants to approach the sessions with open minds, ready to learn, share, and apply the knowledge acquired, in order to transform their classrooms into true centers of excellence where no learner is left behind.

The Municipal Director concluded by extending his profound gratitude to all teachers for making time to attend the programme, reiterating his belief that their dedication will continue to drive educational success in the municipality.
