After weeks of comprehensive community needs assessments across the various towns and electoral areas within the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, the Municipal Assembly, through its Municipal Planning Co-ordinating Unit (MPCU), held a stakeholder engagement meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Assembly’s conference hall. The purpose was to validate the findings of the assessment towards the preparation of the Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP) 2026–2029, which will succeed the current MTDP (2022–2025).

Mr. Benjamin Abomirigo Asaah, the Municipal Planning Officer who coordinated the validation exercise, expressed deep appreciation to all stakeholders, including Hon. Assembly Members, opinion leaders, youth group representatives, and the general public for their active participation. He emphasized that the process will provide a strong foundation for effective planning to address the real needs of citizens in the municipality.

He also took the opportunity to give participants an in-depth orientation on the government’s 24-hour economy policy, encouraging them to prepare to embrace it for their own benefit and the overall development of the area.

In his remarks, Hon. John Atteh Matey, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), appealed to the people of Lower Manya Krobo to take ownership of government projects and initiatives in their communities. He stressed that such commitment would ensure the smooth implementation of the government’s development agenda, ultimately bringing maximum benefits to the people.
