The Management of Akro Technical SHS in collaboration with University of Education, Winneba on Tuesday 3rd May, 2021 organised a one-Day Training Workshop for staff of the School on Improving Teaching Methods at the Senior high school.

The participants were taken through comprehensive presentations on Inclusive Education at the Senior high school by Dr. Adams Awinie for the University of Education, Winneba.

Dr. Adams Awinie entreated the teachers to be supportive to their students based on their individual needs since they’re all from different backgrounds as well as some with disabilities since they must all be given equal opportunity to education.

Dr. Patricia Amos also from the University of Education, Winneba took the participants through Guidance and counseling for Academic Development at the Senior high school since that helps in shaping the future of the students.

The use of I.C.T. in teaching at the Senior high school was handled by Dr. Joseph Appianing as he advised the teachers to make good use of the internet in gathering relevant information which will be helpful to them during their daily teaching activities in the SHS.

Mr. Charles Ossom Baah, Headmaster of the School in his closing remarks on behalf of Management and staff of Akro Technical SHS expressed their heart felt appreciation to the Institute for Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development, University of Education, Winneba for making time and devoting resources to come all the way from Winneba to trains his staff.

He further assured them that his leadership will make sure all these relevant knowledge impacted in himself and his staff will be put into good use for the positive benefit of the students who will become the future leaders of Ghana.

Mr. Charles Ossom Baah in an interview with www.krobolandonline.com said that he will continue to partner several education sector individuals and institutions to help build the capacity of his teachers for the good of the School.
