The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Chantan, an outstation of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Parish, Tantra Hills, Accra On Sunday, February 12, 2023, inducted the Church Pastoral Council (CPC) for the next term of office.

This important activity of the church was done after the holy mass, which was officiated by Rev. Fr. Kofi Francisco Machado, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Parish, Tantra Hills, Accra, and assisted by a visiting priest, Rev. Fr. Bright Kennedy Agyepong, Parish Priest of St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Somanya, in the Koforidua Diocese.

As part of the weeklong activities of the 2023 Mission celebration of the Pontifical Society of Missionary Childhood under the theme “Burning Hearts, Feet on the Move,” some selected children from the Children’s Service read the readings for the Holy Mass.

After the Holy Mass, Rev. Fr. Kofi Francisco Machado, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Parish, Tantra Hills, Accra, officially inducted the newly elected executives and members of the new Church Pastoral Council (CPC) of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Chantan, into office.

He advised the newly inducted members of the CPC to rather use their position to serve the church, show and share the love with their fellow church members and the community where they reside, and show a good example of the Catholic doctrine and teaching in them to attract new members and to develop all aspects of the church community.
