Kortey Doe Esther, a young sachets water seller is a true definition of a determined person.
On Saturday 4th June, 2022 as the Accra Ubuntu Lions Club and their partners organized Youth Skills Training for the Youth in the Krobo Land area at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Hall, Agormanya she went there to sell sachets water as usual.
But after listening to the early presentations of the Program she started talking to some Members of the Accra Ubuntu Lions Club as to how she can be part of the Program.
Lion Albert Kofi Boateng, a of the member of the Club after the several contacts by the Young determined girl accepted to pay for her registration to be part of the program but that not withstanding, there’s another hurdle to cross.
She sells the sachets water for a day especially on market days for some expected income for her care takers so for her to have her freedom to learn the skills for self empowerment, Lion Albert Kofi Boateng and other members have to go to her home and pay for her expected sales income for that day for her to have a freedom on that day.
With determination, She was successfully enrolled, trained and was certified among the other Youth that received training in Bleach Production, Pastry Making, Comestics, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic beverages Production and Soap Making among other.
