Pencils of Promise, a Non-governmental organisation no Thursday 23rd September, 2021 officially handed over their 185 completed and furnished classroom block with ancillary facilities to Akwamufie Presby Basic School in the Asuogyaman District as they’re still having 12 ongoing educational infrastructure projects in different areas.
This becomes 9th Project benefited by the Asuogyaman District in the Eastern from Pencils Of Promise, a Non-governmental organisation who are into Education and sensitization initiatives.
The Country Director of Pencils of Promise Mr. Freeman Gobah speaking at the commissioning ceremony expressed his joy at the landmark of educational infrastructures their outfit with support from other donors and partners has achieved in the Nine years of their operations in 3 religions in Ghana.
In regards to the Newly completed 3-Unit Classroom block with ancillary facilities, modern urinal, WC toilet facility as well as a big Poly tank for rain harvest and water storage for the Kindergarten (KG) of Akwamufie Presby Basic, Mr. Freeman Gobah expressed his heartiest appreciation to Bozoma Saint John who is the Odupoma of Akwamufie and also the global Ambassador of Pencils of Promise for making this possible.
Mr. Freeman Gobah concluded by assuring the gathering of their commitment to do more to support the education and sensitization sectors of the country for the betterment of Mother Ghana through education and more.
Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum, DCE for the Asuogyaman District commends the team from Pencils of Promise for rescuing the Educational infrastructure crisis in the area by giving them 9th Classroom block projects with furniture and other Sanitary facilities.
The Hon. DCE further expressed his appreciation to POP team for the other educational programs such as the Teacher Capacity building workshops and distribution of Electronic tablets to both teachers and students which his District has benefited from them tremendously.
Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum assured them of his continuous commitment to cooperate and support their initiatives in his District for the benefit of the next generation leaders who are currently in the Basic Schools they’re supporting.
Mr. Daniel Mintah, headteacher of Akwamufie Presby Basic School on behalf of Pupils and teachers said a big thank you to Pencils of Promise and Bozoma Saint John(Odupoma) for coming to their aid which will help in teaching and learning in the school.
