Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide, CEO of National Youth Authority on Thursday 29th September, 2022 donated 5 table top fridges to GES and Ghana National Association of Teachers in the Asuogyaman District.
This donations was made to support the upcoming Asuogyaman District Teacher’s Award program which is put together by Ghana National Association of Teachers, Asuogyaman District and Ghana Education Service, Asuogyaman District.
This maiden edition of the Asuogyaman District Teacher’s Award Program is scheduled to be held on Wednesday 5th October, 2022 as part of the several activities planned by the GES, Asuogyaman District in collaboration with Ghana National Association of Teachers, Asuogyaman District to celebrate World Teacher’s Day 2022.
Hon. Hadzide addressing the gathering of the Leadership of GNAT, Asuogyaman District and Staff of the District Education Directorate headed by Mrs. Augustina Adjoa Owusu who is the District Education Director assured them of this continuous commitment to support education in the Asuogyaman District.
He continue to emphasized on his key interest in supporting this Award scheme because education can never be complete without the teachers and motivating the teachers will go along way in getting the best out of them.
So despite him seeing this as a small beginning to something of such nature in the Asuogyaman District, with collaborative efforts from stakeholders including himself, he is very optimistic that this will not be the last time and the next one will surely be bigger than this.
Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide said despite his several education support initiatives currently ongoing in the Asuogyaman District such as the supply of teaching and learning materials to several schools in the area as well as supply of Computers to enhance the teaching of I.C.T. as several schools has already benefited, he is always committed to go the extra miles to support education in the Asuogyaman District for a brighter future of his beloved Constituency.
As part of today’s presentations, Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide presented 2 high specs Laptops and a cash donation of GHC 3,000.00 to the Management of Frankadua D/A Basic School to redeem a pledge made on his behalf during the 60th Anniversary Launch of the School as well as a 32″ LED TV to Tosen-Nanyor Basic School all in the Asuogyaman District.
Mrs. Augustina Adjoa Owusu, Asuogyaman District Director of Education expressed her profound gratitude to Hon. Hadzide for his continuous support to the education sector in the Asuogyaman District which will go a long way to transform the education sector in the area for a better future.
The Chairperson of Ghana National Association of Teachers in the Asuogyaman District, Mr. Harrison Mompi also wish Hon. Hadzide the best of Luck in all his endeavors for him to continue to be that strong pillar behind the education sector in the area as he expressed his heartiest appreciation to him for the donation.
Other dignitaries present at the short presentation ceremony includes, Obeng Koranteng Addae-Gnat SECRETARY, Sherly Opoku Chairman of the Planning committee, Anim Addo Asuako – Akwamuman SHS Headmaster and Chairman of Awards committee.
