Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality on Thursday 26th April, 2022 has taken over the newly completed 12-Unit 3 Story Classroom Block with ancillary facilities at Akro Technical SHS.
The newly completed facilities have a 12 seater W/C toilet facility and a modern waste management facility attached which will convert the waste from the toilet facility into a household gas for use.
The project which was started in the later part of 2019 by the ruling Government as part of the facility improvement initiative to accommodate the increase in enrollment population by the Akro Technical SHS was successfully executed and handed by the contractor, Upgrade Development Limited.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh commended the contraction firm and the supervising consultants for the excellent job done which really gives the taxpayers value for their money.
The Hon. MCE continue to use the opportunity to expressed his heartiest appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for giving the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality their fair share of infrastructure developments both in the Education and health sector.
He continue to entreat the Management of the School being headed by the headmaster to safe guard the project by practicing very good maintenance culture which is the best way to attract more in terms of infrastructure development to the School.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh also used the opportunity to advise the student community of Akro Technical SHS to be law abiding and respectful students since their behavior and academic performance as students plays a key role in attracting developmental projects to the school.
Mrs. Charles Ossom Baah, Headmaster of Akro Technical SHS on his own behalf and on behalf of the entire Akro Technical SHS fraternity expressed their heartiest appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana and also the representative of the President in the Municipality, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh for all the efforts made to give the School this all important project which will go a long way to ease the pressure on the existing facilities and also improve the teaching and learning conditions in the School.
Mrs. Victor Kofi Badu, Planning officer at the Municipal Education Directorate who represented the Municipal Education Director officially received the keys of the facilities from the Municipal Chief Executive and onward handed over them to the headmaster of the School for further arrangements before use as he expressed their profound gratitude to Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh and ruling NPP Government under the able leadership of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for providing several education infrastructure projects within the past few years which has improved upon the teaching and learning conditions in the schools in the Municipality.
A delegation from the NPP Fraternity in the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency led by the 1st Vice Chairman, Fitzgerald V. E. O. Mate-Korle were in attendance to witness the brief handing over ceremony.
