The Atua Government Hospital Covid-19 Isolation center and the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Odumase-Krobo all in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality have received support from the Manya Krobo Covid-19 Emergency Fund on Wednesday 24th June, 2020.
The Covid-19 Isolation center at Atua Government Hospital received 19 complete sets of PPEs, 10 rubber wellington boots and boxes of Surgical gloves as the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Odumase-Krobo received 5 Veronica Buckets and 10 gallons of Liquid.
Nene Kwesi Detse I, Development Chief of the Manya Krobo Traditional area who is the Chairperson of the Emergency fund during the short presentation ceremony at the Atua Government Hospital to both institutions assured of future support to the only Isolation center serving the entire Krobo Land block and beyond.
80 less privileged and people living with disabilities in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality and 80 less privileged and people living with disabilities in the Upper Manya krobo District in 2 separate presentations received foodstuffs from the Manya Krobo Covid-19 Emergency Fund on the same day.
The beneficiaries in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality were drawn from Nectar Foundation, an Orphanage home at Nuaso and the Special School at Kodjonya as well as selected aged by the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Social Welfare department.
Mr. Bismark Sarkodie, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Director of health services on behalf of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Emergency health committee expressed their heart felt appreciation to the Manya Krobo Covid-19 Emergency Fund for the numerous supports extended to their operations in this trying times as he used the opportunity to call on other Cooperate bodies and individuals to donate to the Covid-19 management team in the Municipality since government can’t do it alone.
