Management and staff of Yilo Krobo Senior high School has on tuesday August, 25, 2020 organised a befitting send-off ceremony for all 724 final year students.
Majority of the students have ended their three year stay after the Core English paper on Wednesday 26th, August.
Mrs. Elizabeth Mawusi Gadagui, Headmistress of Yikrosec in her address congratulated the candidates who will all be old students in some few days ahead.
She challenge them to go to their various homes and societies as proud ambassadors of Yikrosec, adding that the future of the school depends on them.
Mrs. Elizabeth Mawusi Gadagui also urged the students to exhibit a good behaviour at home and make mother Ghana proud as well as the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who have investmented into their education through the free senior high school policy.
She concluded by applauding the teaching and Non-teaching staff of the School for responding to duty calls despite the Covid-19 crisis and also the parents for cooperating with authorities for this great achievement which is in the best interest of their children despite the time that we all knows it’s not normal.
The several speakers who spoke during the ceremony advice the students to exhibit the high level of discipline that has been the focus point in their training during their 3 years of stay at Yikrosec.
Master Kumasah Solomon, outgoing School Prefect of Yikrosec on his own behalf and on behalf of the entire student body expressed their heart felt appreciation to the Management and staff of the School not forgetting their parents and guidance as well as the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for giving them the all important start of their academic journey.
He assured that, they will continue to work hard to make Mother Ghana and Great Yikrosec proud of them wherever they find themselves in the near future.
In a unique way, the leadership of the student body official handed over the leadership mettle to the official out the school in the absence of their Juniors due to the Corona virus pandemic.
The leadership of the outgoing student body receives certification to honor their extraordinary services to great Yikrosec as gift were exchanged between the student body and the staff of the School during the colourful event.
