Mr. Robert Williams, Managing Director of Soman Consult, who is the consultant for all the Secondary Cities Support Program Projects in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, handed over the modern Business Resource Center Project to the Municipal Assembly on Thursday, February 2, 2023, after practical completion.

The newly completed Business Resource Center Project contains 11 offices, a 300-capacity conference hall, a restaurant, and guest rooms.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, received the keys to the facility after the consultant’s certification of the practical completion of the project, which fell under UDG 2.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, addressing the gathering during the official handover of the project after practical completion, praised both the consulting firm, Soman Consult, and the construction company, Samotrust Company Limited, for delivering this value-for-money project within the contract period.

Mr. Gideon Sowah, Financial Manager for Samotrust Company Limited, who officially led the delegation from the construction company to hand over the completed project, expressed their heartiest appreciation to both the consultants and the entire management and staff of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly, as well as other stakeholders, for their understanding support during the execution of the project, which has brought the project to a successful completion.

He further assured them that Samotrust Company Limited is a law-abiding business entity, and they’re committed to respect all the contract requirements, including the default liability policy, which protects the project for the next year, and anytime they call on them, they’re always ready to come over and resolve any problems if there are any.

The delegation from the consulting firm and management of the assembly, as well as some stakeholders in the area, also visited the site of the KPANYAS-CANAN road, which was constructed by MAMANJI Company LTD, also under UDG 2, and inspected the project as the contractor was asked to improve some aspects of the road before they could have their final certification of practical completion and handover.

WINMEG Company Limited and HAWKARD ENT, who are the constructors in charge of the 188 lockable market stores project at the Agormanya, may face strict sanctions from the authorities due to the delay of the project, according to the consultant.

Mr. Emmanuel Siakwah, NPP Lower Manya Krobo Constituency Chairman, led a delegation of some constituency executives to witness this memorable day in the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency, and he assured that they will continue to work with all stakeholders in the municipality to serve the best interests of the people in the area.
