Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, called on participants drawn from all state departments in his municipality to take the 1-day training on fixed asset management very seriously.
He made this statement when he addressed members of the Fixed Assets Coordinating Unit from the various state departments in his municipality at the beginning of the 1-day training program organized by the Controller and Accountant General’s Department in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, which took place on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Municipal Assembly Hall.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh stated that this all-important training program, which is intended to equip them with modern and professional standards of managing state assets, is very important since it will go a long way to safeguard state properties for judicious use and reduce expenses made frequently to replace missing state assets.
He called on all the participants from the various state departments to go back and help successfully implement this modern way of asset management.
The 1-day hands-on training on the compilation of the Fix Assets Register of all government assets for inclusion in the National Account for the 2022 year of accounts was duely facilitated by Joseph Gyimah and Alex Ankomah, both from the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, headquarters in Accra.
Mr. Selorm Kwame Tibu, Coordinating Director for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly, speaking to www.krobolandonline.com after the short opening ceremony, assured that the Management of the Municipal Assembly, under the able leadership of Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, and himself will make sure that this all-important initiative will be smoothly implemented by all the state departments in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality to safeguard state properties.
