New Somanya Resettlement community in the Yilo Krobo Municipality has become one of the communities which is benefiting from the 5 new CHPS Compounds to improve basic health delivery in the municipality.
This was after Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, MCE and Mr. Francis Djetse Apertey, Yilo Krobo NPP Parliamentary candidate broke the ground for the construction of a CHPS Center, expected to be completed by the end of November at the resettlement community.
Construction work on three of the CHPS Compounds which started at the beginning of October at Aboabo, Aboa Osoya and Adjikpo are currently at the lintel level, progressing at a fast pace.
Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor assured that all the projects will be completed and commissioned by the last week of November.
Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor addressing the gathering at the Sod cutting ceremony at New Somanya emphasized that the NPP government under the able leadership of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is committed to provide the health needs of the good people of Yilo Krobo Municipality that’s why the government have committed resources to complete the 80 beds Yilo Krobo Municipal Hospital which is due commissioning in weeks time.
Apart from the new 5 CHPS Compounds that they are currently constructing to improve health service delivery in the area, they’re also constructing another new CHPS Compound at Aketebwo which is close to completion to serve the Aketebwo and its surrounding communities.
Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor said with this among the other development projects executed in the area by the NPP government, he is appealing to the good people of the new Somanya Resettlement community who have benefited from several government projects to massively vote for H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Mr. Francis Djetse Apertey as the Parliamentary member to do more for the good people of Yilo Krobo Constituency and Ghana at large.
Mr. Francis Djetse Apertey in his brief speech appeal to the gathering to give him the opportunity to serve them by voting massively for the President of the Republic and himself coming December 7 general elections for more development in the area.
He continued to say that for years that the Yilo Krobo Constituency have been voting for the NDC government and their Parliamentary Candidates, nothing much in terms of development to write home about for that reason the good people of the Yilo Krobo Constituency must change their pattern of voting for more development.
Nene Odjidji, Chief of the New Somanya resettlement community expressed his joy for the gesture as on behalf of the entire community assured they will support the project by all means humanly possible for it to be completed within schedule.
Mr. Vincent Temaklo, Yilo Krobo Municipal Health Service Administrator on behalf of the health Directorate expressed their heartiest appreciation to the ruling Government and the Municipal leadership for this remarkable improvement brought to the health sector in the Municipality by adding this important health delivery centers at vantage points in the Municipality.
