Manyaklo Foundation on Saturday May, 22, 2021 held their Annual General Meeting at the Community Center, at Laasi in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.
The general meeting saw a lot of Prominent Men, Women and youth of Krobo descent present.
Issues regarding the development and progress of the Manya Krobo State were among key issues discussed at the general meeting of Manyaklo Foundation.
Dr. Edward A. Narh, Chairperson of the foundation in his address acknowledge the efforts of some outstanding Krobos both home and abroad.
Dr. Edward A. Narh further emphasized on the need to have a Manyaklo New Generation wing which will have young, vibrant and very innovative youth from the Manya Krobo State to lead the affair of their generation.
To this effect, Dr. Edward A. Narh outdoor a group of young Krobos from different professional backgrounds to lead the formation of a vibrant Manyaklo New Generation wing, their interim operations and activities will be led by a young Krobo Lawyer, Samuel Terkpertey Tetteh.
The team also have Ing. Padi Philip who works with the VRA who is also the President of Kloma Gbi youth Association.
Other Members are Agyemani Solomon Tetteh (Manya Krobo District Manager – NHIS), Henking Anyingmor Adjase-Kodjo (A renowned Media Practitioner) and Dr. Ralph Tettey Amlalo among other prominent young Krobo who were tasked by the Chairman of Manyaklo Foundation to work hard as the current leadership are aging and they will soon have to hand over the active management of the Foundation to them.
Lawyer Samuel Terkpertey Tetteh in his acceptance speech on behalf of the entire team assured the gathering of their commitment and full dedication to this call to duty as they’re ready to work with unity and transparency in the best interest of the Manya Klo State to bring development and a promising future for the next generation.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality who grace the occasion was given the opportunity to account to the gathering on development and policy issues initiated under his able leadership at the Municipal Assembly.
The Hon. MCE listed several physical development project his leadership undertook in the past four years. Notable among them are the Odumase District Police Command modern office, 3 New CHPS Compound facilities for Wawase, Oborpah Djikiti and Piengua Yokwanor all within the part four years.
He said the for the first time in the history of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, the Municipal Education Directorate is now residing a permanent Office accommodation at Kpong constructed by the Assembly.
He further informed the gathering of the Municipal Assembly intentions to develop the Agormanya Main Market which has seen the construction of almost 200 market Sheds and currently ongoing a 188 Lockable stores Projects for the Market.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh concluded by assuring the gathering of his continuous commitment to the development of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality as he appeal to the gathering to foster unity and peaceful coexistence among themselves which is the only way they can work together for the development of the area.
The General Meeting of the Manyaklo Foundation has some special dignitaries Like Hon. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey (Former Deputy Eastern Regional Minister), Manye Angmorkuor Yoko I (Development Queen Mother of the Manya Krobo Traditional area), Mr. Emmanuel Siakwah (President – Youth and Women’s Empowerment) gracing the occasion as they all applauded the Manyaklo Foundation for their development oriented leadership shown for almost 20 years now.
