Former Energy Minister, Hon. Boakye Agyarko, has, once again, emphasized that the government of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has performed much better than any of the previous post-colonial governments in the history of Ghana. Consequently, the NPP government deserves four more years to do more for Ghanaians. Hon. Boakye Agyarko made these statements at Somanya during a training session organized to sharpen the skills of the NPP Campaign Team members in the Yilo Krobo Constituency.
The former Energy Minister, who was facilitating the training workshop for the NPP Electoral Area Coordinators and Polling Station campaign teams at Somanya, entreated the participants to go all out and work hard to retain the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government in power, since the future of the country depends on it.
Hon. Agyarko reminded the participants that the Free SHS education policy is the game changer in the history of the country. He said a lot of people could not get this opportunity in the past, which led to wasted talents and deprived the country of critical human resources in its development effort.
The former Minister recalled some intelligent Ghanaians whose lives were badly affected because they could not continue their education. According to Hon. Agyarko, it is very important that we do not allow the opposition to wish the benefits of this seminal policy away to the detriment of the country. He said the only sure way to ensure that this policy is sustained is to vote massively for the NPP and give the President and the government four more years to expand the coverage of the free SHS policy, and do more for the people of Ghana.
Hon. Boakye further outlined some other policy programs of the NPP government, which have brought tremendous reliefs to the people of Ghana, particularly the stability in the energy and other sectors. He highlighted the fact that the One District, One Factory policy is what a developing country like Ghana really needs to address the unemployment situation, which the government is gradually resolving. He indicated that several collapsed companies are being revitalized and expanded to employ more people.
The former Energy Minister entreated the Polling Station Coordinators and the other Campaign Team members to go out and preach the gospel of the good governance of the Nana Akufo-Addo government to the good people of the Yilo Krobo Constituency, and to assure them that a massive endorsement of the President with four more years for him to do more for Ghanaians will be reciprocated. He said it is pertinent, this time around, for the people of Yilo Krobo to vote for the NPP Parliamentary candidate, Mr. Francis Djetse Appertey, for a change.
Other speakers at the training program were Dr. Gabriel Odeh Aportey, the Yilo Krobo NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng, 2nd Regional Vice Chairman, NPP, Eastern Region; Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, MCE, Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly and Mr. Simeon Tawiah, Board Member, NPA, among others.
Mr. Francis Djetse Apertey, the NPP parliamentary candidate appealed to the constituency Campaign Team to work hard for the imminent victory.
