Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti, the Odumase-Krobo District Police Commander together with her officers in the early hours of Wednesday 17th February embarked on a Covid-19 sensitization exercise at the Agormanya Market.

The Agormanya Market which is the main market within the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in the Eastern is a highly populated business center on its traditional market days, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti underscore the need to put proactive measures in place to avoid the risk of turning the place into a hotspot of the Covid-19 virus.

She said in their committed quest as Police Officers who are ready to enforce the Presidential directive to the latter, she believe in the sensitization approach, promising that they security officers will not rest until the community is safe and peaceful.

Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti during her tour to the Agormanya Market took the opportunity to engage with some of the traders and some members of the general public as she sensitized them on the need to always Wear their nose masks to protect themselves and others during this health crisis period.

The Odumase-krobo District Police Commander in an exclusive interview with www.krobolandonline.com used the opportunity to appeal to the general public to do their best to always Wear their masks as well as following all the other laid down public health protocols for their own protection.

She continue to appeal to opinion leaders, Traditional Leaders and other stakeholders in the area to join the sensitization campaign which she thinks in a long way can help to address the current health crisis.

Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti concluded by sending words of caution to the citizens of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality making it clear to them that not wearing masks and violation of the other laid down public health protocols are offenses that are punishable by law and if this approach of sensitization fails, they will not have any other option then to arrest offenders and prosecute them.
