A high powered delegation led by Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality and C/Supt/Mr. Isaac Obeng Dompreh, Divisional Commander, Akosombo engaged the Students and teachers of Akro Technical SHS as the Students has returned to School.

This engagement session is part of several administrative and security measures put in place by stakeholders to resolve and restore peace between the Akro Technical SHS fraternity and the Odumase Community after the unfortunate incident which led to the closure of the School as disclosed by the Hon. MCE.

C/Supt/Mr. Isaac Obeng Dompreh addressing the gathering of the School community assured them of 24/7 Maximum State Security Protection to enable them freely go about with their Academic activities in this crisis period as leadership continue to engage the affacted parties involved in the unfortunate incident in their committed quest to restore peace and order.

He further assured of the readiness of the State Security agancies to go the extra miles to protect their lives and properties of the School but cautioned them to be responsible students by taking directives from their teachers, Management, Stakeholders and the Security personnel from the State Security agancies that have been on campus with them as they’re working seriously to restore peace and Normalcy.

C/Supt/Mr. Isaac Obeng Dompreh adviced the Students to desist from unapproved movements since that exposes them to danger as they all know that they’re currently not in normal times after the unfortunate incident.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh appeal to the students to be more focused on their Academic activities which is their main purpose in school and allow the leadership of the area to handle the sad incident and issues surrounding it since its above them.

The Hon. MCE further cautioned the entire School community to the careful with their utterance in this crisis period as leadership are currently working behind the scenes to make peace with all the affacted parties.

The Hon. MCE as part of his commitment to improve security in the School donated 10 pieces of LED Street lights to improve visibility at Night since the School is not in normal times and he made them aware of his readiness to assist them at all times.

Supt. Doris Grant, Odumase-Krobo District Police Commander also in her remarks assured the students of Police protection but cautioned them against taking the laws into their own hands which has led into this complicated situation.

She made it clear to the Students that most of them are not minors and they actions today if it doesn’t affact them now it may have a gross effect on their lives and academic progress in the near future since the Police Administration in the country keeps data on all criminal records of all citizens and it may cross path with them unexpectedly.

Supt/Mrs. Margaret Sapati, Divisional Crime Officer also in her address educate the gathering on implications of living a lawless life in school since the system doesn’t lose track of people with criminal and abusive lifestyles at early ages.

The headmaster of the School, Mr. Charles Ossom Baah on behalf of Management, Staff and Students expressed their heartiest appreciation to all stakeholders for the tremendous support given the School community since the sad incident occurred which has affacted the School community.

He promised them that as the leader of the School fraternity, will do everything within his capacity to restore full Normalcy in the School as they have started the academic term with several counseling sessions for both the Parents and Students to help them recover fully from the traumatized situation they witnessed on that sad Saturday morning which led to the closure of the School.

Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the Municipality in an exclusive interview with www.krobolandonline.com used the opportunity to expressed his condolences to the bereaved family as he assured them of transparent investigation into the sad incident as the security agancies had already commenced their investigation work.

The Hon. MCE appeal to the aggrieved youth to remain calm and trust the leadership as they’re working tirelessly to get to the bottom of the sad incident and also make sure it doesn’t happen again not only at Akro Technical SHS but also in any of the Schools in the Municipality.
