The Municipal Chief Executive for Lower Manya Krobo, Simon Kweku Tetteh has on Monday January, 17, 2022 paid a surprise working visit to the Atua Government Hospital in his Municipality.

The MCE in a brief meeting with the Administrator of the hospital Mr. Victor Owusu and the Head of Nursing, Cate Gyefour assured them of his continuous commitment to work closely with the Management and staff of the Hospital which now serves as a referral hospital in the Municipality.

In line with that he entreated the management to be proactive in their day to day administration of the Hospital as he assured them of Maximum Support from the Municipal Assembly this Calendar year and beyond to help in the transformation agenda of the Hospital.

Hon. Simon Tetteh and his entourage were taken round the facility by the Management of the Hospital to see some for themselves the infrastructure challenges the hospital is facing.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh had the opportunity to interact with some of the Staff and some clients of the hospital and he assured that this all important visit will be a great guide to him in his plans to transform all sectors in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality and the Atua Government Hospital will not be left out.

He informed the Management of the Hospital of advance plans by Municipal Assembly under his watch to hand over the newly completed 10 Seater W/C modern toilet facility which was constructed by the Assembly to the Hospital in the coming few days to ease the pressure on their existing facilities.


The Hon. MCE used the opportunity to Wish Both Management and staff of the Atua Government Hospital a Prosperous New Year as he appeals to them to keep giving their all in their chosen career to save lives.

Mr. Victor Owusu, Administrator of the Atua Government Hospital on behalf of Management and staff of the hospital expressed their heartiest appreciation to the Hon. MCE and his visiting entourage for the courtesy call paid them since it will boost the moral of the staff.

He appealed to the Hon. MCE to frequently visit them as they will always be visiting his office to also keep him up-to-date with informations regarding the operations of the hospital.
