The Municipal Chief executive for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh on behalf of Government presented PPEs to the Municipal Education Directorate to be distributed to the 10 Senior high schools in the Municipality.
Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Directorate took delivery of 64 Non-Contact Thermometer guns, 13,848 face masks, 80 Veronica Buckets, 80 bowls, 6924 alcohol based hand sanitizers, 160 gallons of Liquid soap and 320 big tissues.
The short handing over ceremony which took place at the forecourt of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Directorate at Atua was witnessed by representatives from all the 4 public SHS and 6 private SHS in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality who took delivery of their fair share of government’s support.
The four benefited public SHS are Akro Tech. SHS, Makrosec, Krobo Girls SHS and Akuse Methodist Tech. SHS whiles the 6 benefited private institutions are King David Commercial College, Legacy Girls College, Modern SHS, Actright SHS, St. Anne’s Vocational College and Community Development Vocation Institute.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh in his brief speech entreats the Management of the various institutions at the ceremony to help government by enforcing the mandatory wearing of face masks among the laid down public health protocols during this challenging times to help protect the students and the teachers who are so dear to the heart of the President, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh assured the gathering that as government has done his part in protecting the students and their teachers by giving this PPEs, the Municipal Assembly under his leadership will also do their part by being in ever ready measures to respond to any emergency call from any of the institutions in case of emergency situations.
Hon. Simon used the occasion to break the good news of relocating the Municipal Education Directorate to its first permanent office facility at Kpong by the ending of this month after years of operating from a rented apartment which has caused them several inconveniences.
Mr. Odoi Kwaku Williams, Municipal director of Education use the opportunity to express his appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Hon. MCE for the numerous measures taken to assure that the schools are safe for some of the students to return including the fumigation exercise that took place in all the schools in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality ahead of the reopening of schools.
The Municipal Director of Education used the opportunity to assure all parents that the schools are safe to host their children especially the final year students until their done with their examinations.

Simon Kweku Tetteh in the fight against the Corona virus crisis in the area especially this past few weeks in the quest of getting the educational facilities ready for the students and their teachers to return.
