The Yilo Krobo NDC parliamentary candidate, Hon Albert Tetteh Nyakotey has taken steps to restore water supply to villages in Upper Yilo whose borehole water systems have been down for many years.
Mr. Albert Nyakotey’s initiative to help his people to get clean water started from an appeal by the chiefs and people of Aboa-Besease. The chiefs lamented that the only River serving several communities dry up quickly resulting in their people traveling long distances to get water which was not even clean enough.
Mr. Nyakotey had received a similar request by the Chiefs of Wrapong in the same Opesika zone where water supply is a challenge.
Mr. Nyakotey contracted a company from Accra to repair the boreholes to restore water supply to the three affected communities. The three boreholes although located in three communities, serves several communities untill their breakdown.
On Wednesday, 27th May, Hon Albert Nyakotey in the company of two of his Constituency executives; the Treasurer – Mr. Felix and Constituency communication Officer, Emmamuel Okrah toured the villages to ensure that the three boreholes were indeed supplying clean water to Wrapong, Aboa Bisease Donor and Yiti and the surrounding communities.
Mr. Nyakotey told the Communities that he will continue to take steps to improve the standard of living for his people, and pleaded with them to take heart because change is near.
