Kloma Hengme Association, a Krobo Advocacy group in the Krobo Land area on Tuesday May 19, 2020 donated 200 reusable nose masks to the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Emergency Health Committee in a short ceremony to help in the fight against the Corona virus pandemic.

Mr. Isaac Tamatey-Otu – Chairman, Mr. Francis Nakotey – Director of Operations and Dr. Eric Lawer Tamatey – Sikatse who is the General Secretary of the Association led a delegation of members of the association to make the presentation to the Chairman of the Municipal Emergency health committee, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh.

In a brief speech by the director of operations of Kloma Hengme, he stated the Association has has taken keen interest and joined the national fight against the Corona virus pandemic particularly in the Krobo enclave.
He mentioned some of their efforts which was tremendous in the fight against the Corona virus crisis in the Krobo Land area notable among them are the distribution of alcoholic based hand sanitizers, free nose masks to the general public and a radio education initiative on Rite 90.1fm.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the area applauded the remarkable contributions by the Association in the development of the Krobo Land area in the past through their various community development initiatives and their current efforts in the fight against the Corona virus crisis.
The Hon. MCE continue to assured the leadership of the Association of his maximum commitment to collaborate and support them in their development agenders for the positive development of the area in near future.
The Association leadership used the opportunity to officially appeal to the Hon. MCE to use his highly respectable office to do something about the continues shortage of water in some areas within the Municipality especially areas such as Odumase, Kodjonya, Atua among others.
Dr. Eric Lawer Tamatey-Sikatse also briefed the Hon. MCE and other stakeholders gathered of the several efforts made by the Kloma Hengme Association from the District Level of the Ghana Water Company Limited operations to as far as the regional level which he thinks the administrative and the Political leadership have to support the course to get water to the people of Kloma where gallons of water is produced and sent to far lands as he hinted that the Association will soon petition the stakeholders in their quest to help solve the problem.
The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Isaac Tamatey-Otu in an exclusive interview with www.kroboland.com after the presentation hinted that the remaining two MDA in the Krobo Land area namely Upper Manya krobo District and the Yilo Krobo Municipality will receive similar support from the Association to help curb the spread of the Corona virus pandemic in the Krobo Land area.
