Thinking Minds Ghana, a Non-governmental organisation based in Kpong in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in partnership Raney Enterprise officially Launched the MAGG Project (Making Abolo Girls Great) on Sunday 23rd May, 2021 at Kpong.

The colourful ceremony which saw a lot of great dignitaries and stakeholders took place at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Bethel Congregation Auditorium, Kpong.

The MAGG Project is intended to address some major challenges facing the young and old ladies in the hawking of Abolo which serves as the major source of income for the ladies in the Kpong Township in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Regional.

The MAKING ABOLO GIRLS GREAT (MAGG) project will give FREE alternative livelihood skills training in fashion and design, hair dressing, Make Up, catering among others to these street hawkers to give them additional or alternative income to make up for their unproductive off days.

Beneficiaries will also undergo basic entrepreneurship training as the executive director of Thinking Minds Ghana, Mr. Seth Panyin Boamah assured in his speech their commitment to give over 100 girls alternative income earning skills by the end of the first phase of the Project.

The Launch actives includes the official Commissioning of the ultramodern training centers for Fashion Designers and Beauticians.

Ms. Lashawn Raney, CEO of Raney Enterprise the major partners on the MAGG Project assured the gathering of her continuous support to this project and other projects of Thinking Minds Ghana since that’s the best way to give hope to the next generation especially the vulnerable people who are mostly the girl Child.

She further called on the stakeholders present at the Inauguration ceremony to give their maximum support to groups like the Think Minds Ghana since they plays active roles in community mobilization for development in the positive direction.

Manye Angmorkuor Yoko I, Development Queen Mother of the Manya Krobo Traditional area who was the guest speaker at the even advice the beneficiaries to take full advantage of this all important initiative since it in the right direction to shape their future.

Manye Angmorkuor Yoko I, further pledge her maximum support to the MAGG Project as she assured the Organisers to count on her at all times.

The Municipal Chiefs executives for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh who was the Guest of Honor at the event in his address assured the organizers of Government support as in technical support as well as in resources through the National Board for Small Scales Industries(NSSBI) which is aimed at giving reliable support to initiatives such as the MAGG Project.

Mr Samuel Kakra Boamah, co-founder of Thinking Minds Ghana reiterated the fact that the project has moved to this phase due to the benevolence of partners, friends and well wishers. He therefore said that their doors are opened to corporate Ghana and international funding agencies for aid, partnerships and support.
Manye Maku (Kpong Queen Mother), Hon. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey (Former Deputy Eastern Regional Minister), Ms. Lashawn Raney(CEO-Raney Enterprise) among others were presented with Citation of Honour from the Thinking Minds Ghana team to expressed their heart felt appreciation for the extraordinary support given them since their establishment.
