Four teachers who have been victims of flood in the Asuogyaman District in the Eastern Region have received financial assistance of Twelve Thousand Ghana (GHC 12,000.00) from Ghana National Association of Teachers(GNAT)

A cheque of Three thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc 3,000.00) each was presented to the victims at their various schools on Wednesday 5th May, 2021.

Afram Hene of Nurriych Basic School Akosombo, Anna Kumeh of VRA Kyease School Akosombo, Andoh Stella Seyraw of Akosombo Presby School and Agnes Annor of Akosombo R/C School were the beneficiaries of the financial assistance.

All the four beneficiaries expressed their heartiest appreciation to both the National and district leadership of GNAT for this financial Assistance which comes as a big relief to them.

The Newly elected Chairperson of GNAT in the Asuogyaman District, Mr. Harrison Mompi led a delegation of other executive members to pay the surprise visit to their members in their various schools to present the financial assistance cheques to them.

He assured them of proactive leadership from the current leadership of GNAT in the Asuogyaman District which will make their members grievances their priority.

He further appeal to the GNAT members they interacted with during the visit to the schools to support the District leadership for them to be able to serve them well since the leadership can never operate and survive in Isolation.

Mr. Obeng-Koranteng- District Secretary, Ms. Sherly Opuku – District Vice Chairperson and Mr. Stephen Addo – District Youth Coordinator in the Asuogyaman District were the other executive members part of the delegation that toured the schools in Akosombo to present the GNAT financial assistance to their flood victim members.
