Rev. Monsignor Paul Lawer on behalf of the Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church, Most. Rev. Dr. Joseph Afrifa-Agyekum on Thursday 4th November, 2021 unveiled the official Logo of the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya at the Launching of their 75th Anniversary.
Rev. Monsignor Paul Lawer in his address applauded both past and present Management and staff of the Hospital which was started in 1946 as a clinic and Maternity home and later upgraded into a hospital in 1997 and still expending.
On behalf of the Bishop assured the Management and staff of massive support from the office of the Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese to make their 75th Anniversary celebration activities successful and remarkable.
Dr. Stephen Kusi, Medical Director of the Hospital in his welcome Address stated that despite the fact that the hospital is 75 years old, in terms of health service delivery, the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya is currently in her Prime and as he leads the team of Medical Doctors and other health workers, they’re always already to do their best to save lives.
Mr. Emmanuel Bosompim, the Administrator of the hospital in his address outlined some of the hospital plans in terms of infrastructure expansion especially in terms of Residencial accommodation for critical medical specialists staff to comprehend their efforts as a modern Hospital as he appeals to all the stakeholders gathered to support the hospital in the maximum capacity to help this dream to become reality within the shortest possible.
Solidarity Message read on behalf of his Royal Majesty, Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional area, Nene Konor congratulated the past and present Management and staff of the hospital for the outstanding backbone they have been for the health sector in the entire Krobo Land area over years which has brought positive image to the health sector in the area.
Nene Konor assured the Management of his maximum support to see their plans of having a staff Accommodation Project executed within the shortest possible time becomes a reality as he further assured them of his readiness to play an active role in their 75th Anniversary celebration for it to be a success.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality who was the Special guest of honor at the Launching ceremony acknowledge the remarkable efforts by the Management and staff of the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya which has made the hospital the preferred choice for both natives and people from the neighboring communities in times of Medical emergencies.
The Hon. MCE continues to acknowledge the outstanding Medical professionalism exhibited by the medical team from the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya led by Dr. Stephen Kusi, Medical Director of the Hospital and his team when the Municipality was hardly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic at Afconz Camp B at Kpong where they successfully managed over 200 cases without a single casualty.
He continued to assure both Management and staff of the hospital of continuous government support through several health intervention programs of the ruling government to help improve their service delivery.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh concluded by officially declaring the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya 75th Anniversary duely Launched.
Mr. Raphael Alaglo, Chairman of the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya at 75 Anniversary Planning Committee disclosed that the committee through modern means will soon make available the detail plans of the Anniversary which will be climax May 2022.
The Hospital Choir was officially Inaugurated during the Launching ceremony as they entertained the gathering with good music.
