The Adomi Bridge is located in Atimpoku in the Eastern Region of the Ghana along the Volta River.

It provides main road passage between the Eastern Region and the Volta Region as well as its surrounding regions like the Oti Region, Northern, Bono East Region among others in Ghana.

A trip from the northern part of Ghana where one will have to go through the eastern corridor will surely use the Adomi Bridge at Atimpoku in the District Capital of Asuogyaman District Assembly in the Eastern Region.

The Bridge was Constructed by DORMAN LONG (Bridge and Engineering) LTD. The construction of the Bridge started in March 1955 and was completed and opened by OSAGYEFO DR. KWAME NKRUMAH in January, 1957.

The Adomi Bridge is one of the longest overpass in Ghana , with a Free span of 245m and a total length of 336m. The entire cost of the Construction was 682,000 British pounds.

This bridge which links the southern part of Ghana to the other part of the country was recently renovated in 2014/2015 after it has developed some damages.

It was reopened on 19th December, 2015 by the former president of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. John Dramani Mahama after the almost 2 years closure period for the renovation.

The alternative means created during the renovation period was the Senchi Ferry crossing which had served as a great tourism experience for most of the people in the southern and Eastern zones of the country, Ghana who had no experience of ferry transportations and operations.
