Management members of Akuse Government Hospital in the Lower Manya Krobo of the Eastern Regional on Thursday 24th June, 2021 paid a courtesy call on Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North-Tongu at his office in Accra.

The official visit which was led by Dr. Edna O. Asamoa-Agyare, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital and Mr. Felix Kwame Osei-Safo, Administrator of the hospital was to officially Present a Citation of Appreciation to the Honourable Members of Parliament for his numerous assistance to the hospital.

Dr. Edna O. Asamoa-Agyare in his brief speech before the presentation on behalf of the entire management and staff of Akuse Government Hospital expressed their heartiest appreciation to the Law maker for his extraordinary support given the facility when they took the challenge upon themselves to deliver the first conjoined twins at their hospital.

She said without the remarkable support from Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the facility could have faced several challenges in regards to financial and other expenses that together made the surgical procedure successful in the history of the hospital.

Dr. Edna O. Asamoa-Agyare thanked Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for the donation of two brand new infant incubators to the hospital on that faithful day which as at now the hospital has been able to start
Neonatal intensive care unit (NICO) which has brought a great relief to the entire Akuse Government Hospital fraternity.

Mr. Felix Osei-Safo, administrator of the Akuse Government Hospital in his submissions appeals to the Hon. Member of Parliament to use his Honourable office to seek infrastructure and equipment assistance for the Akuse Government Hospital which is under develop which is hampering their committed efforts to deliver modern health care to the people.

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa received the kind gesture in good fate as he said this unique way of appreciation will be a great motivation to him to do more in his chosen line of service to humanity through Politics.

The Honourable member of Parliament for the good people of North-Tongu assured the visiting delegation from the Akuse Government Hospital of his continuous support to the hospital despite the fact that the hospital is not in his Constituency, he is vividly aware that the facility is saving lives of many people from his Constituency and as a leader, he will continue to do everything to better the lives of Ghanaians in general.


Dr. Alhassan A. Mousa, Clinical Care Coordinator of the Akuse Government Hospital and Mr. Nana badu kyere Kwame, Accountant of the Akuse Government Hospital were part of the delegation that visited Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
