Somanya Fire Station in the Yilo Krobo Municipality received good news as Hon. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng, NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Yilo Krobo Constituency, on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, donated a cash amount of GHC 3000.00 to help them repair their fire engine, which has been out of commission for weeks now.
Hon. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng acknowledged the fact that the management of the fire station in Somanya appealed to support them with a cash amount of GHC 2,500. He saw the need for urgency in the situation, which needed some extra efforts and resources, so in his own wisdom, he decided to give more than they asked for, as he assured them of more support in the coming days to make their service to the community very easy.
Mr. Christian Tettey, one of the founding fathers of the NPP from Somanya, who was also part of the visiting delegation to the Somanya Fire Station, also pledged a cash support of GHC 2000 to the fire station to enable them to put their fire engine in the best of conditions for any emergency call to duty.
DO II Ebenezer Kofi Djabatey, Yilo Krobo Municipal Fire Commander, on his own behalf and on behalf of the entire Somanya Fire Station, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the NPP fraternity in the Yilo Krobo Constituency, most especially to Hon. Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng for his support, which has come as a great relief to them, and for all the support he has given them in the past, as he promised to put the support to good use to put the fire engine in good shape in a few days to be ready for purpose.
