Confirmed information gathered from Multiple sources indicates that the Upper Manya Krobo District Works Engineer, Ing. Samuel OKantey has shockingly died.
His remain has since been deposited at the morgue of Asesewa Government Hospital for autopsy.
The incident has shocked staff at his department and the entire assembly.
Family of the late Okantey has since been informed about the sad incident.
The sad incident allegedly occured whilst in office in the District Assembly.
A credible source close to the District Assembly says Mr. Okantey was visibly hale and healthy when he reported to work Tuesday 17th January, 2023 but allegedly fainted few minutes to the closing time of 5:00pm.
The source says he was immediately rushed to the Asesewa Government Hospital by the personnel of the Ghana Ambulance Service but unfortunately pronounced dead few minutes after arrival.
