The finance minister, Hon Ken Ofori Atta during his visit to Upper Manya krobo constituency on a campaign tour, pledged to donate a bus to Asesewa Senior High School upon a special appeal by the Headmaster.
He assured the school community that he will donate a bus to the School in due course.
The Hon. Finance Minister on Tuesday 1st December barely a week after his campaign tour to the area when he made the promise fulfilled it as he got the bus delivered to the School authorities during a short handing over ceremony which was witnessed by the Students, teachers and some stakeholders in the Upper Manya krobo Constituency.
Mr Benjamin Kwesi Odoi a Government spokesperson and Member of the Eastern regional communication team of NPP who represented the finance minister, Hon KEN OFORI Atta during the handing over of the Bus urged management of the School to put the bus in good use and advice the students to take their academic work seriously since government has absorbed all their academic expanses through the free SHS.
Mr. Benjamin Kwesi Odoi used the opportunity to appeal to the gathering to massively vote for the NPP when they go to cast their votes on Monday 7th December in the general for both their Presidential candidate, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and their Parliamentary Candidate in the Upper Manya krobo Constituency, Hon. Joseph Tetteh for more development.
Mr. Mamphey Benjamin Agyepong, PTA Chairman of the School on behalf of Management and staff expressed their heart felt appreciation to the Hon. Finance Minister for rescuing their Bus situation.
