The management of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya, and their partners from USAIDRise organized a stakeholder engagement on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, in regard to the ongoing liquid oxygen project at the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya.
St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya, is one of the 10 beneficiary hospitals around the country currently benefiting from USAIDRise donation of such modern liquid oxygen plants to help in health care delivery.
A delegation from the donors and their project implementation partners led by Dr. Pearl Nanka Bruce, County Director of Jhpiego, during their visit to the municipality paid a courtesy call on HRM Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Area, where they had the opportunity to brief him on this life-saving project coming to his land to improve health care delivery.
HRM Nene Sakite II was delighted to hear that great news, as he assured the donors and their partners of his maximum support at this final stage, where they will be moving heavy equipment in aid of transporting the liquid oxygen tank and other equipment, which will need full cooperation and support from the leadership of the area as well as the citizens.
The visiting delegation later met with key stakeholders drawn from traditional leadership, religious leadership, and security agencies, among others, who have verious roles to play in the final installation stages as well as effective and safe running of the liquid oxygen plant after successfully implementing the project at the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya.
All the stakeholders, the donors, management, and staff of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya, present at the meeting after the engagements, had the opportunity to visit the site of the ongoing Liquid Oxygen Project.
In an exclusive interview with Emmanuel Bosompim, administrator of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya, he called on other well-meaning citizens and organizations, among others, to also come onboard to support the hospital to be able to get the Liquid Oxygen Line to the over 150 beds at the hospital since the initial project is providing the lines to only 30 beds in the facility.
