A 58-year-old father of five, Kudjo Dakudzi was on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 attacked and killed by unknown assailants at about 9am on his okro farm at Akorley Foah, a suburb of Akorley in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region over suspected land litigation.

Two eyewitnesses including the deceased’s 13-year-old son with whom he visited the farm and one Mawuli, aged 18 told police that they were working in the farm with the deceased when one Nartey who is litigating with the deceased on a piece of land, together with two others, attacked Kudjo Dakudzi.
Police personnel from the Somanya Police Command proceeded to the scene and conveyed the body to the Atua Government Hospital emergency ward where he was pronounced dead on arrival after which the body was deposited at the hospital’s morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Assemblyman for the Akorley Electoral Area, Solomon Kwame Todoko observed that Kudjo Dakudzi’s murder is the first of its kind in the area.
The incident, he added, has left the entire community in a state of fear particularly farmers who would visit their farms alone as they could not guarantee their safety.
Meanwhile, Police say investigations have commenced into the case.
