The 2019 Yokama group has joined the fight against the Corona virus crisis in the Krobo Land area by distributing a ‘No Mask No Entry’ campaign banners to some private and public institutions in the area.
Mrs. Agnes Nanor Narteh, who led the distribution team today stated that with strict adherence to the public health protocols and wearing of Nose masks whenever we are joining the company of others will help to curb the spread of the Corona virus.
She continue to say that as responsible opinion leaders in the Manya Krobo Traditional area, herself and her other colleague Yokama 2019, Miss Florence Aku Tetteh with support from their group Chairman Mr. Edward Amanor Kwao came up with this idea of producing over hundred boldly printed pictorial banners with the inscriptions ‘NO MASK ON ENTRY’ to be hoisted at entry points of both public and private institutions in the Manya Krobo Traditional area as well as some at the key community gathering points like the market centers.
On Thursday 21st May, Institutions like the Kpong Police Station, Manya Krobo Rural Bank Limited, St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly, Odumase District Police Command, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Directorate and Atua Government Hospital all in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality received their fair share of the campaign banners.
The beneficiaries received within 1 to 5 banners to be hoisted at their various entries and exits.
The Chief executive of the Manya Krobo Rural Bank Limited, Mr. Edmond Ohipeni on behalf of the board of directors and Management of the bank expressed their heart felt appreciation to the Yokama 2019 group for supporting them in the fight against the Corona virus which came as a big surprise to them.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality who received the banners on behalf of the Municipal Assembly commends the idea and efforts of the Yokama 2019 year group as he said this will go along way to help in the fight against the spread of the Corona virus in the area.
Mr. Osei Owusu Bempah- Administrator of the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Mrs. Bertha E. Abraham – head of Pharmacy at Atua Government and DSP. Thomas Yaw Agbanyo – Odumase District Police Commander who received the donation on behalf of their various institutions all applause the remarkable efforts of Yokama 2019.
