Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare-Kwakye, the 19th Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Area, who doubled as the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, at his palace at Odumase-Krobo.

He used the opportunity to express his heartfelt appreciation to Nene Sakite II for making time out of his busy schedules to grace his induction service and also prayed for almighty blessing and guidance for His Royal Majesty Nene Sakite II on the occasion of his birthday.

In their interaction, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare-Kwakye appealed to Nene Konor to use his high office and his statesman status to promote peace before, during, and after the 2024 election since the country only develops when there’s peace among the people.

The leader of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana assured Nene Sakite II of his ever-present readiness to partner with him and to be available for any activity that will be organised in the best interest of promoting peace, mainly within the election year and beyond.

Nene Sakite II welcomed the call for peace by the leader of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, as he assured him that, as a leader of traditional affairs in the Eastern region and a stakeholder in the country at large, he will do everything within his power to promote peace before, during, and after the December elections.

Nene Konor also tasked the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare-Kwakye, with using platforms to preach peace and the essence of peace in a nation like Ghana.

The Moderator was accompanied by Rev. Abraham Djaba, Chairman of the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery,Rev. Enoch Pobee (Ga-West Presbytery Chairman), Rev. Andrews Odjawo (National ERS Director of PCG), Rev. William Ameka (Personal Assistant to the Moderator), Rev. Chris Baah Nartey, and Rev. Stephen Amanor Tetteh.
