Nene Domesiako Odjidja, Ngmayem Festival Planning Committee Chairman, commended the selfless and dedicated efforts of the entire Ngmayem Festival planning committee, including the sub-working committees, the media, bloggers, Dangme artists, and all stakeholders, for working tirelessly to bring the Ngmayem Festival Celebration to this level, as he appeals to all to keep the commitment to get the Manya Krobo Ngmayem Festival to international festival level within the coming years.
Nene Domesiako Odjidja made this statement during the official debriefing session on this year’s Ngmayem Festival Celebrations, which was held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at Odumase-Krobo, where the Planning Committee, under his leadership, hosted stakeholders including media professionals, bloggers, and other key stakeholders to critically analyze the entire day-to-day activities of the 131st Ngmayem Festival Celebration and the way forward.
The very interactive session offered all present the opportunity to share their experiences and suggestions to help get the Ngmayem Festival to international festival status.
From close observation of the discussions during the official debriefing of Ngmayem Festival 2024, the good people of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area, under the able leadership of HRM Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Area, who doubled as the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, must prepare for more interesting and innovative ideas in the coming years as the planning committee is committed to exploring more avenues to bring entertainment, unity, and development through the Ngmayem Festival Celebrations.
