Manya Krobo Covid-19 Emergency Fund on Wednesday 20th May donated PPEs and fuel coupons to the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Health Directorate and Upper Manya krobo District health directories to support their efforts in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Nene Detse I, Development Chief of the Manya Krobo Traditional area who is the Chairperson of the Emergency fund led the delegation of the fund’s committee members to make both presentations.
The Lower Manya Krobo Municipality health Directorate received 6 boxes of alcohol based hand sanitizers, 20 Veronica Buckets, 30 packs of Surgical masks, 20 packs of hands groves, 6 gallons of liquid soaps, tissues and One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 1,000.00) of Goil fuel coupons to facilitate the movement of the contact tracing team since the area is managing cases of the Corona virus.
The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Health Directorate was made at the new office premises of the Directorate at Atua.
The Upper Manya krobo District health Directorate on the other hand also received 4 boxes of hand sanitizers, 10 Veronica Buckets, 20 packs of Surgical masks, 10 packs of hand groves 4 gallons of liquid soaps and tissues.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality who double as the Municipal Public health emergency committee Chairman applauded the efforts of the leadership of this all important fund committee for joining the fight against the Corona virus crisis by supporting the fight against the Corona virus pandemic.
The District Chief executive for the Upper Manya krobo District, Hon. Felix Nartey Odjao expressed his heart felt appreciation to the Manya Krobo Covid-19 Emergency Fund committee for conceiving this all important idea to raise funds and other resources to support the Frontline operations in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in the Manya Krobo Traditional area.
Mrs. Esther Dauh Oyinka, Upper Manya krobo District director of health Services called the support a timely intervention since their medical stores is currently virtually empty as they are working tirelessly to prevent the Corona virus pandemic from entering their area and they will put the received donation into good use to protect the good people of Upper Manya krobo District and beyond.

He continued to say Ayekoo to the Frontline workers in both Upper Manya krobo District and Lower Manya Krobo Municipality for the selfless and fearless services rendered to Mother Manya Krobo state in the fight against the Corona virus. He concluded by assuring them that since most of the items they use on daily basis are disposables, the Manya Krobo Covid-19 Emergency Fund committee will continue to work tirelessly to raise more items and funds to purchase some and donate them to support their operations in due time.
