Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti, Odumase-Krobo District Police Commander in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality as part of her familiarization tour engaged Driver unions at the Odumase Lassi Station.

Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti in her discussion with the driver unions acknowledged them as key stakeholders in the administration of Public Policing and assured them of her commitment to work closely with them during her stay in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

The Odumase District Police Commander appealed to the driver unions in the area to actively play a role in the fight against the Corona virus pandemic which is currently affecting our daily lifestyles.

She assure the various driver unions she engaged of her maximum commitment to listen to their grievances and collectively work with them to get solutions for the issues affecting their operations in the area.

Mr. Simon Djetse, Chairperson of Simvid transports who spoke on behalf of the Driver unions expressed their heartiest appreciation for this hand of peaceful coexistence offered them from the New Odumase-Krobo District Police Commander which came as a surprising news to them.

The driver unions assured the new Odumase-Krobo District Police Commander, Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti their maximum cooperation to make sure she succeed in the discharge of her duty.

Supt. Doris Akua Hukporti and her team of Police officers were joined by the leadership of the driver unions at the Odumase Main Lorry station to sensitized some commuters onboard various mini buses at the Odumase Lorry Station on the laid down Covid-19 public health protocols.

The district Commander passionately educated the passengers and some of the drivers and their mates on the need of always wearing their nose masks right especially when they are in public to protect themselves and others.
