The PTA of Akuse Methodist Technical SHS in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality on Thursday 14th April, 2022 made a presentation to the School Management.
Members of the PTA and the Old Students Association led by the PTA Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa donated Sports Kits, Footballs, Bags of Rice for the house staff and Bags of Sachet Water among others for the Muslim students who are fasting in this holy Month of Ramadan.
The PTA also donated street lights to the School to improve upon visibility on campus at night which in returns will improve upon the security of the School.
Mrs. Cynthia Owusu, Deputy PTA Chairperson of AMEST in her brief address during the presentation assured the Management of the School of the maximum commitment of the PTA to continue helping them to be able to deliver on their assigned mandate.
Mr. John Selby, headmaster of Akuse Methodist Technical SHS on his own behalf and on behalf of the entire AMEST fraternity expressed their heartiest appreciation to the PTA as he said the donation really came at the right time.
He continue to say that the sports kits they received will go a long way to motivate the School’s Sports teams as they’re currently preparing to go and defend their Zonal trophies as well as their regional honors in the coming months.
Mr. John Selby used the opportunity to appeal to the old students of AMEST, state and Private agencies as well as individuals to come and support the preparation efforts of their several sporting disciplines as they prepare to go and defend their trophies as well as raising the flag of Akuse Methodist Technical SHS and the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality high in the sky.
He concluded by expressing his profound gratitude to the PTA chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa for his outstanding efforts which led to the partnership between Akuse Methodist Technical SHS and a Sports Kits Manufacturing Company in Vietnam which will be producing the new sports kits of the School in the Upcoming Sports festive season.
