Hon. David Walter Hormenu, the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has marked his birthday celebration with donations to two schools in Lower Manya Krobo.
He donated Text Books and other Teaching and Learning materials worth 3,000 Ghc to Obelemanye M/A Basic in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality as fulfillment to a promise he made to them sometime past when he visited the school.
Addressing a gathering of students, teachers and opinion leaders in the Obelemanye community in the early hours of Thursday 10th March, 2022, Hon. David Walter Hormenu assured that as a Leader in the area, he will continue to support all institutions in the constituency whether in power or in opposition.
He continue to say that upon receiving the news that students don’t have Text books in the Obelemanye M/A Basic School, he saw the situation as unfortunate and immediately assured them of his Support.
At as today he donated Mathematics and Science Textbooks for all the Classes from Lower Primary to JHS and he assured to add the other studies in due course.
Both Students and teachers of Obelemanye M/A Basic School all received some teaching and learning materials to enhance studies and the pupils received assorted drinks and biscuits to share in the joy of his Birthday with Him, Hon. David Walter Hormenu.
The Students leadership requested to Pray for him as he kneeled down for prayers from the grateful Students as they expressed their heartiest appreciation to him.
Odumase Anglican Basic School also receives Two New Formica Board to make up the number as well as some bags of Cement to help the Management of the School repair some damages on their new 6-Unit Classroom block.
Hon. David Walter Hormenu advised the students in both schools he visited to take their education serious since the future of this country and similar responsibilities are on them and they must not fail.
Hon. David Walter Hormenu in an exclusive interview with www.krobolandonline.com stated that over the years as part of his personal commitment to celebrate his birthday in a unique way instead of organizing parties has donated in aid of the health sector in the area and has this year decided to turn his attention to education.
He continue to emphasis that this is not going to be the last but as some problems of the institutions has been put before him, within the shortest possible time, he will mobilize support from other stakeholders to respond positively to some of the issues worrying the various institutions he visited today.
