A 1-day tabletop simulation exercise was organized by NADMO in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the Volta River Authority (VRA) for members of the Municipal Disaster Management Committee (MDMC) in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, which is being chaired by Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the municipality.
The program, which was held on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at the Conference Hall of the Municipal Assembly, had key stakeholders from the municipality in attendance.
This simulation exercise is to test the readiness and preparedness of the MDMC ahead of the next planned spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong Dams of the VRA to avert dangers like those that happened in 2023.
All the facilitators, including an independent avaluator of the team, applauded the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Disaster Management Committee for the excellent readiness exhibited during the Table-Top simulation exercise.
