The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh has visited some selected basic Schools within his municipality.
He was accompanied by a team from the Municipal Education Directorate and the Municipal Health Directorate.
The purpose was to welcome the students back to school after the long break due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
The hardworking MCE distributed nose masks and hand sanitizers to the students to enable them observe the safety measures.
He also distributed sets of school uniforms and some teaching and learning materials to all newly admitted students in KG and Primary one to welcome them into “my first day at school”
In his separate addresses, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh advised the students to take their studies seriously.
He also call on all teachers to play the parental role by ensuring that the students wash their hands under running water, use their hand sanitizers frequently as well as wear their nose masks always to avoid the spread of the deadly virus among themselves.
The MCE also urged parents to ensure their wards adhere to all the COVID-19 measures at home and in school been spelt out by government and the ministry of health.
Some of the schools visited by the MCE and his team of entourage included Mt. Mary Demonstration Basic School, Odumase Akro M/A Basic School, Agormanya Methodist Basic School, Piengua Yokwenor M/A Basic, Nuaso Presby Basic School, Kpong E/P Basic School among others.
