On Sunday, May 11, 2025, Hon. John Atteh Matey, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, joined the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Community in Agormanya for a special thanksgiving Mass to mark his successful appointment.

Addressing the congregation during his first public appearance since receiving a strong endorsement from the Honourable Assembly Members, Hon. Matey attributed his journey to the MCE office to the grace of God. He gave all thanks and praise to the Almighty for making his dream a reality.

He expressed profound appreciation to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, especially Rev. Fr. Moses Kofi Huadji and the Church leadership, for their guidance, prayers, and unwavering support throughout the highly competitive selection process.

Hon. Matey also took the opportunity to thank Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Member of Parliament for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency and Deputy Minister for the Interior, for his fatherly support and mentorship throughout his political journey. He assured him of a continued close working relationship, dedicated to uplifting the lives of the people in the municipality.

Extending a message of unity, Hon. Matey invited his former competitors in the MCE race to come on board and support his administration, emphasizing that together they can achieve more for the good of the municipality.

Delivering the sermon, Rev. David Nanor Matey, a brother to the MCE, urged him to serve the people diligently and assured him that God rewards faithful service.

The thanksgiving Mass was graced by several dignitaries, including Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Hon. Francis Addo Akumatey, MCE for Yilo Manya Krobo Municipality, and a high-powered delegation from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) fraternity in the Krobo Bloc, who joined Hon. Matey and his family in a show of love and solidarity.
